This policy covers all JK-Hosting apps, currently Beam and Glide.
The short version
JK-Hosting apps collect zero data. No analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no crash reports, no account system, no sign-up — nothing leaves your device.
Beam (Android TV)
Beam stores library metadata, watch history, playback position, and cached artwork locally on your Android TV device. This data never leaves the device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
The only network requests Beam makes are the ones you initiate:
- Streaming from your Mega account or seedbox
- Fetching poster artwork and metadata from TMDB and OMDb
- Serving the local web dashboard to devices on your own network
There are no background pings, no phone-home endpoints, and no third-party SDKs embedded in the app.
Glide (phones, tablets and foldables)
Glide stores reading positions, bookmarks, per-file layout settings, and library metadata locally on your device. Glide reads only the local files you open and uploads nothing.
Payments
Purchases are handled entirely by Stripe on their hosted checkout page. The apps never see, process, or store your payment details. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that transaction: stripe.com/privacy.
Children
The apps do not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Given that the policy is "we collect nothing," changes are unlikely.
